About this School Project (Leaf Prints)
Students had tons of fun making a mess with this lesson! They brought in real leaves from home and painted the back white with white paint. We learned how to press and pull a print. The pressing part is VERY important. They printed the leaves onto dark colored paper and were surprised at how realistic they looked! All the texture appears. The next class, they used warm colored pencils to color their leaves and used a sponge brush to dab paint for the background. They used cool colors and white and learned that when you add white to a color it becomes a tint. Very cool! Don't forget to compliment your favorite artist!
