About this School Project (5 Moody Victorians)
Artists in 5th grade analyzed the moody art - House by the Railroad by Edward Hopper, well known for diner scene portrayed in Nighthawks. Then they learned all about the Victorian period of architecture. Artists drew a Victorian house with white colored pencil on black paper and painted a moody background with analogous colors. Finally, they collaged their house onto their painted paper and added details with white colored pencil and/or sharpies.
