Artist Statement (what Irian9 said about their artwork)
I thought making a sad clown on one side and a happy one on the other was a good idea to represent yes and no. To make the coin first we have to print our design into a piece of paper and glue it down to a piece of metal, taping it for extra support so the paper doesn't slide off when we cut the metal. Then we use a jewelry saw and cut the design into the piece of metal. We have to cut three times, one for the middle circle, another for side A, and finally one for side B. Once our three sides have been cut, we have to sand it down until smooth and then set it up to be soldered and engraved. we sand it down one more time and polish both the positive and negative spaces on the coin.
