About this School Project (4th: X-Ray Hands)
Students traced their hands with white pencil on black paper and we tied in a little anatomy with our project by reviewing the bones in the hand and arm! Fingers are called phalanges, the bones that connect the fingers to the wrist are the metacarpus, the wrist bones are the carpus, and the arm bones we drew are called the ulna and radius. Students looked at a reference picture to draw the bones inside their hand and then used oil pastels to color them in. Students chose a light, medium, and dark of the same color to color each bone in using value and blending techniques to make our x-ray hands look 3D!
