About this School Project (First Grade Self Portraits)
First graders worked hard on these over many weeks! They began by creating their background with tempera cakes. The next week they drew the shape of their face and mixed paint for their skin and painted their face. The week after, they cut this out, applied it to the background. They then added clothing, hair, eyes, mouth and details.
