About this School Project (Pop art!)
Students learned about the Pop Art movement from the 60's. We focused on Roy Lichtenstein, who is well known for his comic book style of Pop Art. Students chose a favorite Bible verse and focused on one word from the verse-they made block letters and painted them. Students planned out three or more layers for their piece, where they had the open of newspaper, texture rubbing, and oil pastel outline. They also had to make burst spike shapes with water color paint. They assembled all the layers along with their word, and had to add their Bible verse somehow.
