I had some fun and I used Sponges and Paint and the fun part was that I could make really cool art you should make some really cool art.
About this School Project (Basquiat Inspired Mixed Media Art - 5)
In this artwork students learned about multi-media artist Jean Michel Basquiat. After learning about Basquiat and viewing his artwork we also looked at the work of Jet Le Parti to continue our conversation about mixed media art. To create their own mixed media artwork students began by collaging tissue paper or layering paint to fill their background. Building on top of that students applied different painting techniques to their artwork using unique materials. Then, students collaged on a self-portrait (photograph or drawn), symbols, words, and designs to fill their artwork.
