About this School Project (6th Color Wheel One Point City)
We covered a lot of ground on this one! The main idea was using a vanishing point to create the illusion of distance as you look up the buildings. Things farther away appear smaller. We also talked about bird's eye view, and worm's eye view which we utilized in this project. Sides of buildings, windows, and doors should be lined up to the vanishing point. Tops and bottom of buildings, doors, and windows, should be horizontal. Just for good measure, we added a discussion about the color wheel and students used each building to represent the corresponding color on the color wheel. As always, we stressed using great craftsmanship, slowing down to get it right, and doing our very best work.
