About this School Project (4 - Victorian Houses)
Students learned about the architecture of Victorian Style Houses. We discussed the different characteristics and elements of Victorian Style houses and then became the architect to create their own house. We drew on black construction paper and used silver paint pens to add contrast. The element of art focus for this project was line and students were challenged to turn their house into a line drawing. They then had the opportunity to add spooky details if they wanted as well as adding pops of color using oil pastels.
