About this School Project (Pointillism Pumpkins - 3)
In this fun painting project third grade students studied Pointillism. We looed at paintings by Henri-Edmond Cross and discussed how he created realistic forms in his work by layering dots of different shades. Using watercolors students created a grassy background for their pumpkin. To paint their pumpkins in the pointillism style studnets used a q-tip and different shades of orange, yellow, and brown.
