About this School Project (Christmas Card Contest)
Every year, the entire district (just elementary schools) holds a competition for Christmas Card designs. The theme for this year's card is "Deck the Hallways". 3-5 graders spent weeks on these cards from planning our spacing, to drawing, outlining, and coloring.
We really talked a lot about putting forth effort and showing craftsmanship. That means doing your best and making your artwork look neat and presentable. Here are some things you should see on these Christmas cards:
*The theme of "Deck the Hallways" written neatly somewhere on the card. It should be big and easy to read.
*Drawings that are well drawn (to the best of our abilities-kids even had ipads so they could watch drawing videos as needed)
*Show space-things that are farther away should be drawn smaller to show depth
*Craftsmanship when coloring. We shouldn't be coloring with markers-just outlining if we want. We shouldn't be coloring outside of the lines. We should be coloring items in COMPLETELY.
