About this School Project (3rd Grade Value Study: Mountain Ranges)
Using tempera paint, students will paint dark to light values using a monochromatic (one color) scheme plus black and white for gradually changing tints and shades, creating atmospheric perspective. Then they will complete a short questionnaire about values and paint black evergreen tree silhouettes in the foreground.
