About this School Project (1st: Pop Art Emojis)
Students learned about artist Andy Warhol, who is from Pittsburgh, PA! We learned about Pop Art and that it means POPULAR art. We looked at Andy Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Soup, Coca-Cola, and Marilyn Monroe Prints. We talked about what is popular today. Each student traced 4 circles, drew 4 different emojis. We used neon paint for the backgrounds and colored the emoji faces in with neon colors using complementary colors (colors opposite to each other on the color wheel) to make them stand out!
