Artist Statement (what Nyla2255 said about their artwork)
The project was fun to make it really wasnt so difficult. Printmaking is very specific and can turn out many different ways. The element of art is organic and not geometric because it isnt perfectly shaped raised relife helped make the design on the paper.
About this School Project (Shape Printmaking)
The element of art discussed for this project is shape. Students learned about geometric and organic shapes and how they influence a work of art. We talked about how shape is defined by its positive and negative space and printmaking by coloring the raised positive shapes. An artist that influenced our prints in their radial designs is Alma Woodsey Thomas.
