Artist Statement (what Glory117 said about their artwork)
I chose this candy because it is similar to the gum that I love to chew at my summer camp last year. I bought the gum in Indonesia and I can't find any in Thailand, so I use Maoam instead. At camp, I would chew it practically every day, and I would sometimes share it with my friends that I probably would never see again. It also tastes really good:) When I bought the Maoam candy I thought it was gum, but it ended up being chewing candy which was a bummer. It's fine though because it's close to the gum candy (BigBabol). Something that I learned when doing color pencils is that you should focus on one little detail at a time and work your way around it. This is the way that works best for me. Something that I like about my artwork is the candy wrappers. I like it because it looks real and I put a lot of effort in it the make it look good. The shadows and light reflections makes the whole thing look 3D .The creases and folds make me proud of myself. If I could do this project again I would try to perfect my shadows because it looks weird when they are different shades. Overall it looks amazing so I wouldn't change much of this artwork.
