About this School Project (2 - Silhouette Landscape Sunsets)
Inspired by the book “Legend of the Indian Paintbrush” by Tomie de Paola, students learned 3 techniques for blending watercolors and used one or more of them to blend red, yellow, orange and purple to create a sunset. Next, they drew a horizon line and added objects or plains animals that would have been important to Native Americans. They chose charcoal or black oil pastel to fill in their silhouette.
