About this School Project (Starry Night Inspired Landscapes)
Students reviewed the concept of a landscape (outdoor scene) by observing The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. They learned that he combined what he observed out of a hospital room window, what he imagined (a village), and what he was feeling (ex. swirls in the sky). He was a post-impressionist who created what he saw but also infused it with great feeling. Students explored using mixed media (materials) including pencil, marker, crayon, oil pastels, and tempera paint. We hope you enjoy these creative landscapes!
