About this School Project (4th-Balloon Dog)
Fourth grade students learned about the artist Jeff Koons. Taking inspiration from his Balloon Dog sculptures, we traced seven ovals, a small rectangle and a small triangle and then outlined them with black ink. A shadow and highlight was painted on to each shape with tempera paint to add dimension. While these were drying we created a simple cityscape background. The shapes were cut out and assembled onto the background to make a Balloon Dog.
