Artist Statement (what Anderson2625 said about their artwork)
I created this piece because we are learning about the Middle Ages. This particular panting is inspired by the Byzantian mosaics.
First, I drew a basic outline of my subject with a pencil. Next, using acrylic paint we used skin tone to fingerpaint the face. After this, I used a darker tone to add fine details on the face. After the face I finished out all of my finger dots for the rest of the piece. Using a skinny brush and bronze paint I outlined the main shapes. Lastly, I used glitter to highlight gems and jewels.
I learned a bit about the middle ages and what Byzantian artwork looks like.
