About this School Project (SHAPE - Kindergarten Robots and Mondrian Squares and Rectangles)
Kindergarten artists learned about the artist Piet Mondrian and how he used vertical and horizontal lines to create squares and rectangles in his art. Then, they learned about the primary colors and how they are mixed to create every other color. They practiced their gluing skills by gluing black lines horizontally and vertically. Then, they experimented with mixing the primary colors inside their squares and rectangles.
Next, they used their imaginations to create shape robots. They practiced adding lots of details, outlining with silver sharpie, and coloring neatly inside their shapes.
