About this School Project (Blind Contour Flowers)
This project challenged the 8th graders! They started this project by drawing the subject without looking at their paper. Blind contours are meant to teach you to draw what you're actually seeing and not what you think it should look like. It is meant to be a continuous line where the pencil stays on the paper the entire time. Students did blind contours of flower arrangements. After they had drawings they liked, they traced over them in sharpie and added chalk pastel. They had to problem solve how to display it.
