Artist Statement (what Lucas33006 said about their artwork)
In this artwork my group used unity and dominance. How we showed unity was grouping together the pictures, and the splatter is kind of in its own group. We also used dominance. To show dominance we made the word strength stand out by making it bigger than the other words in the quote. Another way we used dominance is the players stood out the most by being the biggest thing on the artwork, and the bright colors. Our inspiration was to show care towards Dax and Brogan. The message was to show strength and a little bravery. One of the critiques said we showed that by putting the sports they do and their number and also a quote about strength. Another peer said we also used some pictures of them to show our message. It turned out better than I expected, it's not what I envisioned at the start of the project, it turned out to be different. We made lots of changes. A couple of changes that we made were not putting the faces onto the head of the players and making the background more eye-catching by adding a bunch of pictures to themselves. The quote we used in the artwork was, "Sometimes you don't realize your own STRENGTH until you come face to face with your greatest weakness." We got this quote from Google, no author was acknowledged. This relates to our message by the quote being about strength and so is our artwork.
