Artist Statement (what Avery27300 said about their artwork)
I made this realistic colored pencil pumpkin for the beginning of fall.
First, I used a pencil to draw a quick sketch of a pumpkin. Then, I started layering orange, yellow, and blue colored pencil to give the illusion of a realistic pumpkin. After that, I used black colored pencil in the creases to add contrast. Lastly, I used yellow and white to blend all my colors together.
I learned that layering orange and blue makes a good neutral brown color. I honestly did not enjoy using the colored pencil.
