Artist Statement (what Emily60661 said about their artwork)
I made this colored pencil pumpkin because it is the beginning on fall. We are practicing drawing realistically.
First, I sketched the shape of a pumpkin with pencil. Next, I started layering various colors of color pencil to shade and color my pumpkin. Surprisingly I used blue as me main shade on the pumpkin. Lastly, I used yellow and white as blenders to merge all my colors together.
During this project, I learned how to use many layers of colored pencils to make a realistic drawing. I also learned how to crate shadows. To be honest I thought this drawing was kind of hard to do but I guess it kind of turned out good. It was okay in my opinion.
