About this School Project (Pumpkin Patch - K)
Students learned about horizon lines to begin their pumpkin patch art. Students then mixed the primary colors red and yellow to make orange for their pumpkins. We talked about painting bigger pumpkins in the foreground closer to us and smaller pumpkins farther away. Students mixed the primary colors blue and yellow to make green for the grass. Then, they mixed blue and white to make a light blue for the sky. Lastly, students used oil pastels to draw lines on top of their pumpkins to create form.
