Artist Statement (what Evalena41 said about their artwork)
My favorite part about my artwork was ,I liked doing the patterns in the background and it made it look like my dream catcher looked like a sun and star. I would change the colors I did I just think if I did beige it would turn prettier . The reason I did a moon and sun was I thought it would be more pretty because it kinda matches the sky . I loved doing this and I hope we do it again.
About this School Project (4th Grade Dream Catcher/Mandalas)
We looked at the differences and similarities between Mandalas by Buddhist monks, Native American Dream Catchers, and Sand art by both cultures. Students created their own Mandala/Dream Catcher designs and colored parts of their art with crayons. We added a metallic paint wash in different colors for the backgrounds.
