Artist Statement (what Kensley688 said about their artwork)

1. Describe your artwork (what is there, what is in your piece? What did you create?)
I have an abstract turtle swing in the sea. On its back is a flower because it is supposed to be abstract and unique and a turtle usually does not have a flower on its back so it made it even more abstract.
2. How did you create your artwork? (What materials did we use? How did you use those materials?)
I created my artwork by using water color paint, a pencil, tape, water color paper, a brush, and water, I used water color to add color to my design. I used a pencil to sketch out my turtle. I used tape to make a crisp border. Lastly, I used paper, water and a brush to bring the whole project together.
3. What is the BIG IDEA behind your artwork? (Why did we create this artwork? What was the purpose of our assignment?)
The big idea was to create an abstract drawing based in nature and we did this to honor Georgia O'keeffe.
4. What were your Goals for this Artwork? (What did you personally want to get out of this project?)
My goals of this project was to get and A and make a painting that was unique and pretty.
5. What are your overall thoughts of your artwork? (How do you feel now that you are done? Would you do anything different if you could do it again?)
I think I did a pretty good job, but next time I think I should try to make the turtle have a cooler design on his back.
