About this School Project (Larry the Line)
Students read the story, "Larry the Line," written and illustrated by an art teacher named Cassie Stephens. In the book, a snake named Larry introduces the reader to different types of lines. Students practiced tracing a variety of lines using a marker and then painting them over using a paintbrush. For their project students painted a picture of the main character, Larry, and created a liney background for him to crawl along. Students practiced drawing, painting, cutting, and gluing to create this adorable collage of Larry the line with his cool sunglasses crawling on his liney background.
