Artist Statement (what Brynlee1402 said about their artwork)

I made this painting of the Colosseum because we are learning about Roman history. First, we sketched our picture with a pencil. Next, we outlined with Sharpie and added detail in hatching and crosshatching. Lastly, I painted wet on wet to create a watercolor wash. I learned about some of the history of the Colosseum. Some techniques I learned were hatching, crosshatching and watercolor wash. It was fun!
