About this School Project (2F Falling Leaves)
This is a two class project. The first class, students observed and drew the CONTOUR line and veins of leaves using first pencil, then heavy crayon to create a resist. We again discussed organic shapes. They created a sense of space/depth by drawing OVERLAPPING and smaller leaves. For the second class, students learned a wet on wet technique, being thoughtful of how they used their brushes. They used lighter values on the far away leaves. They were thrilled with how their drawings, then their paintings came out, and I hope that you love them!
