About this School Project (Van Gogh Sunflower Paintings)
Students viewed and discussed paintings of sunflowers, olive groves and the ever-popular Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. They contrasted the sunflower paintings of van Gogh with those of Georgia O'Keeffe and Claude Monet.
After our discussion, students reviewed taking care of paint materials before they used tempera paint to create their sunflower paintings.
