About this School Project (Analogous leaf design)
Students learned about symmetry for this piece. They needed to make symmetrical leaves, mimicking real leaves as much as possible. They also had to use some shapes. Then students needed to divide their leaves up somehow and create "movement" through line design using sharpie. We also talked about the color wheel and students needed to choose an analogous color family (three colors next to each other on the color wheel) to paint the other portion of their leaves. Then students needed to arrange their leaves onto a background in a visually successful way. They had the option to put pieces on stack cardboard to make some leaves pop of the page.
