About this School Project (Spooky Houses)
Eric Guillon is the Art Director for Illumination Entertainment, and the creative mind behind some characters and places we know and love. He helped create concept art (art that brainstorms what characters and places will look like in a movie) for Gru's neighborhood in "Despicable Me", and ultimately decided on the look for Gru's home. First grade made their own unique, spooky houses using cardboard, paint, and 3 kinds of lines: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal. They added their details with neon oil pastels, which we made GLOW in a black light.
