About this School Project (Matisse Paper Cut Gardens)
Students viewed art work by famous artist Henri Matisse. We watched a video about him when he was a painter, then paper cut collage artist. We also used our knowledge of geometric and organic shapes. Students cut organic shapes to make plants in a garden. They also experimented with three-dimensional paper cutting techniques.
