Artist Statement (what Abraham3193 said about their artwork)
1. My inspiration for this project is that I just love to draw stars. I will always draw small stars on my papers during class and I thought it would be cool to make patterns inside the star.
2. Some of the concepts I learned while creating this artwork is different kind of line patterns and how to water paint.
3. My darkest values is the star and the lines that are outlined in sharpie. My lightest values is the purple and blue mixture of water paint around the star and the white areas in the star.
4. What I think was successful in my finished project was the star and the different type of line patterns used.
5. What I could I have done differently to better is the water painting. I feel like I didn't make it as nice and mixed as I could have, but for my first time I don' think it was too bad.
About this School Project (Zentangle- StudioArt Gilman)
Students explored line and pattern in a Zentangle project using Sharpie and organic shapes. They had the option to accent their drawings with watercolor to add emphasis or balance ot their compositions.
