About this School Project (1st Painting/Printmaking, Eygptian Blue Hippo,)
Kids learned about Ancient Egyptians and their ancient artifacts in museums like The MET, in NYC. One of their most famous sculptures are these small blue ceramic hippopotami, that were decorated with Nile river plants such as lotus flowers. Kids listened to the book by Geraldine Elschner, The Little Hippo, which featured a come-to-life story of an ancient Egyptian hippo sculpture.
