About this School Project (Shape and Line Design)
Students learned about the elements of art-shape and line. Then students learned about the principles of design-emphasis and movement. They learned about organic vs. geometric shapes and they chose their own as the backbone of their project. They made a "line of interest" and overlapped their shape several times. Withing the sections they created, they drew dense line design. Students then applied bold colored pencil and chalk pastel to the outside edge to emphasize their line of interest.
