About this School Project (5th-Rainbow Paintbrush)
Fifth grade students began this project by using a ruler to break up their paper into 10-15 spaces. They were asked to create a different black and white pattern in each of the spaces. They did an observational drawing of a paintbrush and tried to add as much detail as possible to make it look realistic. Their paintbrush drawing was then colored with colored pencil. Next they used tempera cakes to paint a line in rainbow order, blending two colors together where they met. All of these pieces were then cut out and glued down to a sheet of black construction paper to finish.
