About this School Project (4th grade Lighthouses)
Students learned about the history of Lighthouses in Michigan- Michigan has more lighthouses than any other state in the USA. They heard stories about lighthouse keepers and their families, the great lakes and importance of the water, shipping, trading and other history. Students chose a michigan lighthouse for inspiration and created their own while considering the background and relationship to season, time of day, location and texture.
