Artist Statement (what Oliver14778 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this project was making the shape of the horse.
If I could do it again I would make the legs different.
My inspiration was Franz mark.
My least favorite was how the pastels were messy.
I feel that my artwork had great texture and color.
About this School Project (5th Grade Expressionist Horses)
We learned about the artist Franz Marc. He did lots of paintings of animals, especially horses! He painted them with bright colors and they look a little abstract. His style of art is called Expressionism. Students drew horses and most of them traced their pencil lines with glue. When the glue dried, we used chalk pastels to make colorful pictures. They look amazing!!
