About this School Project (Llama’s Lines)
Students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 were learning about Line, an element of art. They drew a picture of a llama in pencil drawing a border line around it. They traced over the drawing with a sharpie marker. On the outside of the border they divided the empty space into sections. They drew a variety of lines in these sections and traced over the lines with different color crayons. The students painted over the crayon lines with watercolor paints. The students could leave the llama black and white or they could add color with crayons or colored pencils.
