About this School Project (Mola Inspired Drawings)
Students in second grade explored Molas for Hispanic Heritage Month. Molas are a traditional textile made from the women of the Guna people of Panama. Students defined what textile art could be through examples from across the world, and showed their appreciation for Molas through a large scale oil pastel drawing.

DCPS Scope and Sequence:
-Explore the use of color to represent a subject
-Convey expression and movement through the use of line and shape
