Artist Statement (what Avalyn391 said about their artwork)
In this project we had to use pattern and repetition, we had to make a few big ideas that branched into many more. The artist this project was inspired after was Ramon Bruin who is famous for his doodle paintings. My favorite part of this project is that I got to choose what I wanted to draw, the inspiration was the ocean and many shows, movies or games. I would change the theme to a more creative one that not as many people did.
About this School Project (Doodle theme art)
Students studied the artist Ramon Bruin and his "doodle paintings". We discussed how he uses the Principle of Design pattern and repetition to make his pictures look unified. Each work of art began with a main idea and the students linked other ideas to make smaller "doodles" around that main idea. Theme and big ideas helped us to come up with interesting connections.
