This painting was centered around an aquatic theme. Cut outs of aquatic imagery were traced onto the paper. Five layers of watercolor were built up to add a sense of depth.
About this School Project (Negative Watercolor Painting)
Students created tracers based around a theme. Using the shapes, they layered and practiced watercolor application. They painted from lightest to darkest to create a range of values.
