About this School Project (Jawlensky-Inspired Self-Portrait)
For the 4th grade self-portraits, we drew our basic head. We learned about face proportion and placement of our features. We then got out of the box with our coloring! We used Jawlensky's Galka Scheyer portraits as our inspiration, and chalk pastels as our medium. We explored blending with our fingers. We talked about how black is sometimes just too strong!
