About this School Project (Animal Mash-up)
Each student selected a card from each of the three stacks of cards on their table. Then students will create a new species of animals because each stack of cards shows either head, body or legs/wings/tail. As well each card tells what type of animal. For example an owl head, lions body and sharks tail. Once the new animal is drawn students will outline the contour lines with a Sharpie. Then they can color their animal anyway they’d like with crayons, color pencils or markers.
Next they will fill in the background creating their animals habitat. Then the habitat will be colored in by using whatever medium was not used on the animal.
Lastly, students will give their new species a name and their animal a personal name.
