About this School Project (2 Supernovas: Positive and Negative space)
The second graders chose warm or cool colors, and covered a coffee filter with water based markers. We put them on a square of drawing paper, flipped them over, and sprayed them with water to make organic, colorful color bleeds. Students learned about positive (where the color is) and negative space (the background), and then practiced different patterns with black permanent marker.
