About this School Project (Roy Lichtenstein Onomatopoeia)
Students learned about Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein and how he was inspired by comics and wanted to show his subject the way mass media or printing would display it, rather than a realistic view, with the use of benday dots. He also often use primary colors and Onomatopeias (a word or group of words that imitates the sound it is describing) in his artwork. Students created their own Onomatopoeia words and included printed Benday Dots in certain sections of their drawings.
