About this School Project (Seascapes with Line)
Students defined and viewed examples of seascape pictures. We discussed how some can show movement and some can be calm. For their project, students drew a seascape drawing of an ocean using wavy lines and a variety of other lines in between to show motion in the water. They got to choose a type of boat to draw from a handout out that could float at the top of they water. They added color using chalk pastel. They practiced blending tints, hues, and shades of blue to make the water.
