About this School Project (6th Creature Creations)
6th grade artists were challenged to design and create their own original creatures or robots. They began by sketching out 3 ideas. After sketching, they chose their favorite to draw large on a piece of white paper. Practice painting was required before beginning with a focus on blending and neatness. Artists painted their creatures focusing on painting neatly; using the correct size/shape brush, using the right amount of paint for the brush, using correct form/brush strokes and working slowly. Color choices were up to the artist. When the paint was dry, they added details and textures over the paint with the very poplar Posca Paint Markers.
